The flowering of May and June

After the continued spring rains, the last flowering appears.

Maybe it wasn’t as big as we expected, but in any case, it was welcome!!! And now let’s hope that the grain develops in good health during the next few months.

There is one issue that worries us: the lack of leaves, caused by La Roya. It turns out that when the flower falls, a small button must appear, which is nothing more and nothing less than the beginning of the grain. Well, in some cases it happens that the flower falls and the beginning of the grain does not appear. We are going to quantify the small loss that this will cause us, but that does not change the projection of the good harvest that we hope to have!!

Normally the grain has a period of growth and maturation between approximately 7 and 8 months. This process will depend on the climatic conditions and that it does not suffer from any disease or an unexpected attack by some fungus that affects its growth.
