Our farms are in Armenia, capital of Quindío, one of the 32 departments of Colombia. One of the main centers of the national economy.
Regarding the coffee farming, we highligt the Caturra, Colòmbia and Castillo, varieties, the latter two are evolved botanical varieties, which have been obtained through research projects and found only in this country, Colombia.
These coffee plants are in continuously growing and production. It can be observed in the same coffee-tree the different stages of the coffee grain formation, such as flower, green cherry and ripe cherry. This means that the harvest is virtually continuous, making harvesting every 14 days, using a manual to take a very strict control over it. The pruning of coffee trees occurs every five years. The application of chemical and organic fertilizers is made periodically.
The irrigation of the land is natural with the rains, which are abundant throughout the year.
The coffee zone has shade, which is produced by the autochthonous trees of the country and the banana trees.
